Pansy Division are one of the first queercore punk bands. They formed in California in 1992.
Their current lineup is bassist Chris Freeman, rhythm guitarist Jon Ginoli, lead guitarist Patrick Goodwin and drummer Luis. Ginoli, Goodwin and Luis all sing on various tracks.
Most of Pansy Division's songs tend to focus on various elements of gay life.
Jon Ginoli and Chris Freeman appear in the documentary film Queercore by Scott Treleaven, talking about being in a queer band, and Pansy Division performs live.
