The Party of the Democratic Left (Slovak: Strana demokratickej ľavice) is a political party in Slovakia. It is social democratic. It was founded in 1990. It is not in the parliament since the 2002 elections anymore.

It is a member of the Party of European Socialists and the Socialist International.

On December 4, 2004 it has voted to merge with the Smer (Direction) Party.
