Patrouille Suisse is the aerobatic demonstration team of the Swiss Air Force and the official national aerobatic team of Switzerland. The team was formed on August 22, 1964 as a team of 4 Hawker Hunter Mk. 58s for Expo 1964 and the 50th anniversary of the Swiss Air Force. In 1970, a fifth airplane was added to the team, but the team was not allowed to perform internationally until 1978 due to a strict neutrality policy. In 1995 the team switched to the Tiger F-5E.
