Personal Services is a 1987 British comedy film directed by Terry Jones. The film stars Julie Walters and is the story of the rise of the madame of a suburban brothel catering to older men. Inspired by the real experiences of Cynthia Payne, the legendary "House of Cyn" madam. Upon theatrical release, the film was banned in the Republic of Ireland.
Julie Walters stars as "Christine Painter", a thinly-disguised Cynthia Payne.
