Peter Wintonick - Definition and Overview

Peter Wintonick (born 1953, Trenton, Canada) is an independent documentary filmmaker based in Montreal, Canada.

He made Manufacturing Consent: Noam Chomsky and the Media with Mark Achbar and Francis Miquet (1992). With the National Film Board of Canada, he made (1999). He also made the winner of the Hampton's Film Festival Abraham Prize, Gemini Award nominee , co-directed with Katerina Cizek (2002).

In 2005, at the invitation of the premier of South Australia, he will fill the post of thinker-in-residence, to examine the future of documentaries and the digital revolution.
