American actor.
Carey has made appearances in the hit movies, 'Calamity Jane'
(1953), Monster (1979), and the television series
Little House on the Prairie. He is perhaps known for his role
as the protective patriarch, Asa Buchanan on the [[American Broadcasting
Company|ABC]] soap opera, One Life to Live, a role he has
been portraying since 1979.
