The Philippine National Police is the National police force of the Republic of the Philippines. It is both a national and a federal police force in that it provides all law enforcement services throughout the Philippines. It was formed in 1989 by the merger of the Integrated National Police with the Philippine Constabulary. It is based in Quezon City in the Manila National Capital Region. It is organized on a regional and provincial basis. Unlike the PC it is a civil police force.
