The Pig (sometimes the boar) is one of the 12-year cycle of animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac related to the Chinese calendar. These Earthly signs are linked with the Five Elements, or Celestial signs, to form a complete horiscope. Using these two sets of signs together creates a 60 year cycle for complete astrological signs in China. It is thought that each Earthly and Celestial sign is associated with certain personality traits.
People of this sign are honest and tolerant and make good friends. Pigs however tend to expect the same from everyone else, they often end up disappointed when they learn otherwise of people. Viewed often as naïve, a Pig is very trusting.
