Pine Manor College, or PMC, is a private, women's liberal arts college located in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1911 and serves approximately 500 students, 75% of which live on the campus.

PMC offers 9 majors, each leading to a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science. The majors available are biology, business administration, communications, English, history and culture, liberal studies, psychology, social and political systems, and visual arts. Within each major, students can pick their own concentration from a list of more than 60 options.[1] (http://www.pmc.edu/academic/baccalaureate/bacdegrees.html) For example, a student majoring in English can concentrate on creative writing or English education, while a student majoring in visual arts can concentrate on graphic design.

PMC has been ranked as the most culturally diverse college in the United States for two years by U.S. News and World Report. It is one of the few colleges in the nation to have more African American students (32%) than white students (25%).[2] (http://www.pmc.edu/about/fastfacts.html)

PMC is a Division III member of the NCAA. Students compete in basketball, cross country, lacrosse, softball, soccer, tennis, and volleyball. The mascot is the gator.
