Barenaked Lunch is the Barenaked Ladies second indie tape release, which came after "Buck Naked" in 1989 and before the "Yellow Tape" in 1991. It is a pun on the novel Naked Lunch by William S. Burroughs.
The tape was recorded as a demo tape in 1990 and is also known as the "Pink Tape". About 2,000 tapes were produced but were mastered incorrectly, with the songs playing too fast.
