Pirro Ligorio - Definition

Pirro Ligori, (1510? - 1583) Italian architect, antiquarian and garden designer.

He designed the gardens at the Villa d'Este, and (possibly?) the Monster Gardens at Bomarzo.

One of his most famous published works is a map of ancient Rome - Antiquae Urbis Imago from 1561.
