Play Misty for Me is a 1971 thriller film about a radio disc jockey who becomes the target of an obsessed female fan. It was Clint Eastwood's directorial debut, and he also played the disc jockey.
The title comes from the fan's habit of phoning in to the DJ's radio show and asking him to play the song "Misty".
