A plush toy or plushie is a soft, often furry, stuffed toy made of plush. They are usually made in the shape of something cute, usually an animal of some sort, though sometimes a human. Anime, cartoon, or manga characters are popular subjects. A teddy bear may be regarded as a type of plush toy, though this is not true of all teddy bears, as some are not made of plush.
Plush toys are often found in claw vending machines.
A person who has a paraphilia for plush toys may be called a plushophile. Plush toys are important in furry subculture, and furry fandom may be written about them.
