PolyFamilies are polyamorous families. They often live together in marriage-like arrangements, but differ from group marriage in that all members do not necessarily consider themselves married to each other.
The term came into common usage in the polyamory community in early 2000 with the website Polyamory for The Practical (http://www.polyfamilies.com)
