In Greek mythology, there were three people named Polybus, or Pólybos.

  1. A Corinthian king, husband of Merope or Periboea, who raised Oedipus, who had been abandoned by his mother.
  2. A King of Sicyon, father of Talaus.
  3. A King of Thebes (in Egypt). Menelaus and Helen stayed in his court for a while after the Trojan War.
