Portland Sea Dogs - Definition

The Portland Sea Dogs are the Double-A minor-league baseball team affiliated with the Boston Red Sox. They play in the Eastern League; their home stadium is Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine.

The Sea Dogs became part of the Red Sox system after 2003 and immediately following the change in ownership of the Red Sox; previously they were affiliated with the Florida Marlins.
