Porto Seguro - Definition and Overview

Porto Seguro is the original landing site for Pedro Alvares Cabral and is located in the Brazilian state of Bahia. It was the busiest port of the developing Portuguese colonies from 1500 into the early 1800s. Nowadays, Porto Seguro is a touristic town known for its busy nightlife.
