Postmillennialism is a version of Christian eschatology that believes that godly Christians must reign and rule secular society for a millennium (one thousand years), before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
In the United States, the major oranizational forms are based on Dominion Theology, a theocratic form of Dominionism. A theonomic and doctrinaire version of postmillennialism is Christian Reconstructionism.
The other major variants of Christian End Times belief are Premillennialism, Preterism, and Amillennialism.
