Power Geyser - Definition and Overview

Power Geyser is a clandestine U.S. counterterrorism program to operate a group of commandos with state of the art weaponry created to protect the physical safety of President George W. Bush. Creation of the unit is controversial and potentially unconstitutional because the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 restricts U.S. military forces from performing domestic law enforcement duties. The decision to create the program reflects the personality of President George W. Bush. Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at George Washington University Medical Center, Dr. Justin A. Frank, describes Bush as subject to "rigid and simplistic thought patterns, paranoia and megalomania."
