The Protected Planets Treaty is a peace treaty between the Goa'uld and the Asgard in the Stargate universe. The treaty concerns 26 planets, or 27 including Earth. The treaty makes these planets free from Goa'uld oppression. SG-1 has visited only a select few of these worlds. These worlds include Adara (episode: Revelation) Cimmeria (Thor's Hammer, Thor's Chariot), K'Tau (Red Sky), PX3-595 (Shades of Gray) and of course Earth. From what is known of the treaty, if one of the terms in violated then the treaty as a whole becomes void. These terms include provision that the world under protection can not be advanced far enough as they become a threat to the Goa'uld, and that no planet can be advanced by Asgard technology. One consequence of this is that the technology can not be used to stop a natural disaster.
