pydance is a simulator for the arcade and console rhythm game Dance Dance Revolution. It was written in the Python language, and it is an open source and free program. Unlike Stepmania, the artwork used in the game is not derived from Dance Dance Revolution, and therefore can be packaged with Debian GNU/Linux. The songs one is able to play with the game are stored in pydance's file format, with the extension .dance.
