The genus Pygoscelis ("elbow-legged") contains three species of penguins collectively known as "The Brush-Tailed Penguins."
The three species of brush-tailed penguins are the Adelie Penguin (Pygoscelis adeliae), Chinstrap Penguin (Pygoscelis antarctica), and Gentoo Penguin (Pygoscelis papua).
