The Quake series is a line of first person shooter computer video games produced by id Software.
The series includes:
- Quake, released on May 31, 1996.
- Quake II, released on November 30, 1997.
- Quake III Arena, released in 1999.
- Quake IV is currently in development. It is the first Quake not developed by id Software but by Raven Software on behalf of id. Quake IV, unlike the previous titles of the franchise, will not feature its own new game engine, but will be powered by id's Doom 3 engine.
