Quick Draw McGraw is a Hanna-Barbera cartoon character, voiced by Daws Butler. He was a sheriff, but sometimes took on the identity of El Kabong. He was accompanied by his deputy, Baba Looey, also voiced by Butler.
Although Quick Draw was himself a horse, this did not stop the animators from depicting him riding into town on a "real" horse.
El Kabong attacked his foes by swooping down on a rope and hitting them on the head with an acoustic guitar, producing a distinctive kabong sound and destroying the guitar in the process.
Quick Draw McGraw was part of The Quick Draw McGraw Show, which also included segments featuring Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy and Snooper and Blabber. The show debuted in 1959.
