Quinquagenarian Quinquagenarian

Quinquagenarian - Definition and Overview

A quinquagenarian is a person in the age group 50 to 59 years old. A quinquagenarian of today is born between November 11, 1945 and November 11, 1955.

This term — along with quadragenarian to denote someone 40 to 49 years old — appeared in most English-language dictionaries as recently as the 1960s, but since then it has often been omitted, suggesting that it is no longer in conventional use.
