Rafer Alston (born July 24, 1976 in New York, New York) is currently a player for the NBA's Toronto Raptors. He grew up in New York City in the borough of Jamaica, as a street basketball legend and has received most of his recognition for that aspect of his career. Alston was drafted after his junior season at Fresno State by the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round, 39th pick overall of the 1998 NBA Draft.
His nickname Skip to My Lou stemmed from his tenure with street basketball show, the And 1 Mix Tape Tour.
Rafer has continued to improve his numbers each year since being acquired by the Toronto Raptors and is a vital part of their basketball club's success.
