Rap metal is a musical genre that takes influence from both rap music and heavy metal music. It generally contains fairly "traditional" heavy metal instrumentation (guitar, bass, and drums) with rap vocals. This is not to be confused with nu metal and rapcore which tend to include more hip hop elements such as sampling and scratching.
