Ratatouille is the eighth animated feature film produced by Pixar, scheduled for release in 2006. It is the story of a rat who lives in a Parisian restaurant.
This will be the first Pixar film after Disney discontinues its co-production. The top choice of distributors appears to be Warner Brothers, Sony, and 20th Century Fox.
No casting has been announced. The director will be Jan Pinkava, director of the 1997 Pixar short film Geri's Game, which was shown before A Bug's Life. The screenwriters will be Emily Cook and Kathy Greenberg, both making their feature film debuts.
