Raymond Domenech - Definition and Overview

Raymond Domenech, born January 24, 1952 in Lyon, is a French football player and current manager of the French national football team.

On July 12, 2004, he succeeded Jacques Santini, ousted after France's defeat in EURO 2004.

Career

• 1969-1977 : plays in Olympique lyonnais. Wins coupe de France in 1973.
• 1977-1981 : plays in Strasbourg. Wins coupe de France in 1979.
• 1981-1982 : plays in Paris Saint-Germain
• 1982-1984 : plays in Bordeaux . Wins coupe de France in 1984.
• 1984 : retires as a player and becomes manager.
• 1985-1989 : manager in Mulhouse
• 1989-1993 : manager in Olympique lyonnais
• 1993-2004 : manager of French youth team (the bleuets)
