Rcp Rcp

Rcp - Definition and Overview

Remote Copy Protocol (rcp) is a TCP/IP-based protocol used to copy files between computers on a network.

rcp is also a name of Unix-originated program implementing this protocol. rcp has been largely superseded by more secure applications, such as the scp and sftp programs provided in many SSH implementations.
