The Real World/Road Rules Challenge is a spin-off of MTV's two flagship reality series, The Real World and Road Rules. The Challenge pits castmembers from past seasons of the two shows against each other. The castmembers are divided into two teams and must complete challenges in order to win prizes and advance in the game. Recent seasons have taken a cue from Survivor and adopted the common reality TV system of voting people out of the game.
