Redemption are a progressive/heavy metal band comprising former members of Fates Warning, Prymary and have previously featured members of Symphony X and Steel Prophet. Led by guitarist Nick van Dyk, the band originally featured Rick Mythiasin on vocals, Bernie Versailles on guitar, Jason Rullo on drums and Michael Romero providing symphonic arrangements.
Mythiasin left in 2003, and while Corey Brown of Magnitude 9 stepped in and performed live with the band, Nick van Dyk scored big in September 2004 when Ray Alder of Fates Warning, who had sang one track on Redemption's self-titled release agreed to join as Redemption's full time vocalist.
Redemption have released one self-titled LP in 2003 and, with a new lineup surrounding van Dyk intend to release the next album in Spring 2005, tentatively entitled The Fullness of Time.
