Repo Man is a 1984 cult film produced by Michael Nesmith, directed by Alex Cox, starring Emilio Estevez ("Otto") and Harry Dean Stanton ("Bud").
Otto, a young alienated punk rocker in Los Angeles, gets a job with a small-time vehicle reposession agency and partners with Bud, his mentor, in searching for an automobile which, unknown to them, contains something mysterious and powerful in its trunk. The atmosphere of the story draws from Cox's experience as a repo man when he was young, but soon deviates into the surreal with aliens, the CIA, and other strange characters.
The soundtrack features now-classic punk rock tracks by Black Flag, the Circle Jerks, Suicidal Tendencies and others.
