RABL was a revolutionary anarchist collective based in Minneapolis that was founded in 1987 by members of the Back Room Anarchist Books collective. RABL obtained fame/notoriety by throwing a bowling ball through the storefront window of a U.S. military recruiting office in March 1988 at a spirited demonstration in response to the deployment of U.S. troops to the border of Honduras and Nicaragua. The organization combined militancy with a theatrical sensibility expressed in campy use of bowling motifs in their actions, literature and public appearance. RABL initiated what became Love and Rage and dissolved into the larger organization in the early 1990s.
