Rhoose Rhoose

Rhoose - Definition and Overview

Rhoose (Y Rhws), Wales, is a village located near the sea. It is home to the Cardiff International Airport, a Holiday Park (Fontygary), some shops, two public houses (The Fontygary Inn and The Mayflower) and Rhoose Social Club.

Rhoose is one of the fastest growing villages in the Vale of Glamorgan, with the two newest develoments being "The Hollies", and more recently, Rhoose Point.

Due to these two large developments, Rhoose is currently struggling with the increased poulation. A new school and other civic amenities were a condition of the new developments, but have still not materialised.

The railway station, which was scheduled to re-open in 2003 has suffered numerous bureaucratic delays and is now set to re-open in 2005.
