Rice diet - Definition and Overview

The Rice Diet is a type of diet in which the practitioner exclusively eats rice and water. It was developed in the 1930s at Duke University, and is sometimes known as the Duke University Diet. Duke University itself has one of the most famous diet research centers in the world. The rice diet is recommended only in extreme cases of obesity. A major part of the diet is exercise. Many who are on this diet often go to Duke's diet center in Durham, North Carolina.
