Rich Man, Poor Man was a 1976 television miniseries based on a novel by Irwin Shaw.

Broadcast in eight episodes in February and March 1976 on ABC, the twelve hour miniseries was one of the earliest such TV miniseries, and its ratings success led to other series, including Roots.

The story contrasts the lives of a pair of immigrant brothers in the United States from the 40s to the 60s, successful businessman Rudy Jordache (Peter Strauss) and hot-headed boxer Tom Jordache (Nick Nolte). Rudy become romantically involved with and married Julie Prescott (Susan Blakely).
