Rich Site Summary is a member group of the RSS family for web syndication and is represented by the RSS 0.9x and RSS 2.x standards. RSS 0.9x developed into RSS 2.x as an attempt to stabilize it. RSS 2.x is not in all cases backwards compatible with RSS 0.9x.
