Richard Doll (b. October 28, 1912 ) is a British epidemiologist, physiologist, and a pioneer in the research linking smoking to cancer.
His career has been marked by controversy, including claims that Doll over-stated the links between other envioronmental factors and cancer, and that he was too supportive of industrial interests.
