Robbie Russell (born July 16, 1979 in Amherst, Massachusetts, USA) is an American soccer right back, who currently plays for Rosenborg B.K. of the Norwegian Premier League.
Following a successful college soccer career at Duke University lasting from 1997 to 2000, Russell was drafted by the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer, but opted to try his fortunes overseas. Russell joined Sogndal I.L. of Norway, where he established himself as one of the best right backs in Norway. This fact was confirmed when Norweigan giant Rosenborg made a move for him in 2004.
Although Russell has not yet received a cap for the United States national team, he has recently been called into camps as an option for the United States' weak right back position.
