Robert Killigrew - Definition and Overview

Robert Killigrew (1580-1633) was a knight of Arwenack in Falmouth, Cornwall. He was born in 1580 to William Killigrew and Margery (Mary) Saunders. He became a chamberlain to Queen Elizabeth I and was knighted by King James I in 1603. His name appears in the Second Charter of Virginia (http://wikisource.org/wiki/Charter_of_Virginia%2C_1609) as a backer.

He married Mary Woodhouse (1584-1656), and had several notable children:
