Robert Wuhl (born October 9, 1951) is a comedian turned actor/ writer. A native of Houston he attended Bellaire High School where he took drama with the Quaid brothers, Thomas Schlamme, and Brent Spiner among others. After several years of stand-up comedy he had small film and tv roles in movies like Good Morning Vietnam, Batman, and Bull Durham. In 1992 he appeared in The Bodyguard as host of the Oscars, which in reality he won two Emmys for co-writing in 1990 & 1991 with Billy Crystal. From 1996-2002 he wrote and starred in the Emmy-winning HBO series Arli$$ as the title character.
