Romanian Wikipedia is a Romanian edition of Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Started in June 2003, this edition has 11,000 articles, as of January 2004. It adresses to Romanian-speaking countries, such as Romania, Moldova or Vojvodina. As of December 2005, user on the Romanian Wikipedia started to talk about founding a local chapter of Wikimedia, Fundaţia Wikimedia România.
In April 2004, Romanian Wikipedia supported the launch of the Aromanian Wikipedia.
