Rowlett - Definition and Overview

The Rowlett numbering system is a proposed numbering system that differs from the common short scale numbering system as follows:

The common short scale system uses n-illion, using Latin numerical prefixes, to mean 10³ⁿ⁺³ where n is any number greater than or equal to 2.

The common long scale system uses n-illion, using Latin numerical prefixes, to mean 10⁶ⁿ where n is any number greater than or equal to 2.

The Rowlett system uses "gillion" for 10⁹ and n-illion for 10³ⁿ, where n is an integer greater than or equal to 4, using Greek numerical prefixes. (Million is common to both systems.)
