Roy Carroll (born September 30 1977) is a Northern Irish footballer. He currently plays as a Goalkeeper for Manchester United
He began his career at Hull City. He was signed by Wigan Athletic in April 1997. He was signed by Manchester United in July 2001. He had stiff competition against Fabien Barthez, but won a Premiership winners medal in the 2002/2003 season. By the 2003/2004 season Tim Howard was signed and Roy had yet again more competition. He won an FA Cup winners medal at the end of the 2003/2004 season. He wears the number 13 shirt for Manchester United.
