In neopaganism, the Wheel of the Year is commemorated by the eight Sabbats, which are religious holidays.
In White Wolf Game Studio's fictional Vampire: The Masquerade, the Sabbat is a sect of vampires.
The word sabbat also refers to a witches' Sabbath, a supposed midnight meeting of witches for a demonic orgy.
Sabbat is also the name of a British heavy metal band formed in the 1980s.
