Saddle Creek Records is an Omaha, Nebraska-based label established in 1993 whose roster includes Bright Eyes, Cursive, The Faint, Son, Ambulance, Desaparecidos, Rilo Kiley (although, not anymore), Now It's Overhead, Commander Venus, The Good Life, Mayday, Azure Ray and Sorry About Dresden.
Saddle Creek, founded by Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst and his brother Justin Oberst, continues to be the flagship label of a style of music that is beginning to be called the Omaha Sound, characterized by acoustic and/or emo music with a slight country twang. A "brother label," of sorts, to Saddle Creek is Team Love, started by Conor Oberst in 2004.
