St. Catherine, Jamaica, is a parish located south, south east of the island. St.Catherine is Jamaica's largest parish, and consists of the first capital of the country, Sante Jago De La Vega, currently known as Spanish Town. This parish also accounts for the largest population in the country, well over a million. Spanish Town consists of many historic building and the government is planning to capitalize on this asset by one day making it a tourist attraction.
