Sal Buscema is an American comic book artist, primarily for Marvel Comics. Buscema got his start in the mid 1960s as an inker over the pencils of his brother John Buscema; for at least 30 years after that he was one of the most prolific artists at the company. It would probably be easier to name the titles he hasn't drawn at some point, but in particular he's known for stints on Captain America (with writer Steve Englehart), the Hulk (with writers Len Wein, Roger Stern and Bill Mantlo), the Defenders (with Wein and Steve Gerber) and Spider-Man (with Gerry Conway).
Buscema usually inked his own work from the late 1970s onwards. In the early 1990s he returned to inking, again notably over John Buscema on an Englehart-scripted run on Fantastic Four.
He went into semi-retirement in the mid 1990s.
