Salford City Reds are a professional rugby league club based in Salford near Manchester. They were promoted to Super League in 2003.

Their nickname is 'The Red Devils', this name was copied by nearby Manchester United football club. For this reason they are sometimes known as 'The Original Red Devils'.

Salford were considered the leading club in the UK during the 1930s.

Their traditional home stadium is known as 'The Willows'.
